Although we are fairly new, we have performed at quite a few venues over the past year, so I have listed below a short diary of what we have been up to! Photographs of these can be seen in the Gallery section.
Safari in the Square, Middlesbrough (Mima) - 10th August 2008 A great afternoon held in the open in the main square in Middlesbrough. We were part of an all day event which included giant butterflies, a giant caterpillar, rabbits, wheelie bins and birds of prey. The windiest event we have played to date! It was great to perform out in the elements, and we sounded better than ever, Joe doing a fabulous job with his solo and our newer members did brilliantly.
Preston Park, Tristar Homes fun day - 7th August 2008
A free fun day hosted by Tristar Homes, this was a very well organised event where we had a stage to perform. We had a session where members of the public were welcome to join us and try a drum - we did The Train of course! We all then preceeded to the stage to perform with our 'new' recruits. It was a lovely sunny day, despite weather predictions and much fun was had by all.

SIRF 2008 Finale - 3rd August 2008
Wow, this has to be our favourite performance yet! We were invited to be part of the Stockton International Riverside Festival Finale evening at 10pm in the High Street. We proceeded down the High Street with the world famous Close-Act Malaya, who were spectacular stilt walkers, accompanied by fire flares, all taking place in the dark with a huge audience!! We all wore white T-shirts with black skirts on the drums and were joined by 3 members of CCTV drummers. Would certainly do that one again tomorrow!!

SIRF 2008 - 2nd August 2008
Our 2nd appearance at the Stockton International Riverside Festival carnival parade down the High Street. Our theme was Germination this year. It was a fantastic, colourful and vibrant event and even the heavy downpour didn't wash away the enthusiasm. We had a finale at Trinity Gardens, led by Matt from Kinetica with a great display from the The Goddess and her dancers!
Middlesbrough Mela - 19th July 2008
Our first ever appearance at the Middlesbrough Mela in Albert Park was a great success. We opened the Mela on the 2nd of this 2 day event in the marquee, all dressed in our new colourful T-shirts. It was suggested that we do another performance later in the day, which we did, walking around the fountain, the sun shone and it was a great day!
Race for Life - 21st June 2008
Female members of the group walked 5km for Cancer Research UK with drums and tamborines. It was a fantastic, fun day and the sun shone all morning at Ormesby Hall in Middlesbrough. We did make it up a bit as went along as there were only a few of us for our first ever Race for Life event! We shall return in 2009.

'Rhythm Train meets Tees Valley World Drummers' - 1st March 2008
A drumming event held in ARC at Stockton, just for the fun of it!! This was a great afternoon where we spent 2 hours or so combining our drums with the sound of the djembe. It was great to be in a room full of such enthusiastic people and hopefully we shall meet again in the not too distant future.
Parmo World Championships - 16th December 2007
Held in Stockton High Street, this was a live event recorded by TFM. It was an extremely cold December day and playing our drums on the steps of the memorial next to the Town Hall was quite difficult with our frozen fingers! (We didn't get to try out any of the parmo's unfortunately)

Lantern Parade - 9th December 2007
We led the reindeer and Santa on his sleigh through Stockton High Street on this dark and wet Sunday afternoon! The lanterns were fantastic and were carried by local children who had made them themselves during various workshops with various artists, one of which was our very own Cheryl. The reindeer weren't frightened by the drums at all, which was just as well as they walked down the High Street just inches from us on the back row!
Taste of Africa - 12th October 2007 Held in Middlesbrough Town Hall and attended by the mayor of Middlesbrough and the mayor of Darlington. This was a very lively and vibrant event and was a great honour to play our drums on this huge stage! It was very daunting for most of us, especially as Martyn wasn't there, Joe was leading with the snare and whistle and did a really great job. There doesn't seem to be any photographs for this event!

NICOT - 6th October 2007
A day of celebration held by the Nigerian Community of Teesside, held in Marton.

TEGOFEST 2007 - 8th September 2007 Held in Stockton Parish Church gardens in conjunction with Sam and the Grace Covenant Ministries.

SIRF 2007 - 4th August 2007
Stockton International Festival, Stockton High Street. This was our biggest performance to date! We were at the front of the parade, as the signals for the train and led by Martyn. The sun shone all day and the great carnival atmosphere made it a fantastic day. All the drumming groups that took part met at Holy Trinity Church at the end of the parade for a get together and to perfrom the 'Stockton Reggae' - certainly a day to remember!
Ropner Park - July 2007
Some of us took to the bandstand for our very first performance. We were small in number and led by Ian and Joe. This was great practice for drumming in public!
